This Privacy Policy explains how Cleaners Network ("we", "us", "our"), operator of cleaners.network, collects, uses and shares information when you visit our website or submit a quote request. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Because sharing your request with cleaners is the whole point of the service, this policy is very specific about when that happens.

1. Who we are

Cleaners Network is a free Australian matching network. We are not a cleaning company — we connect customers with independent, vetted cleaning businesses. For any privacy question, use our request form.

2. What we collect

Only what you give us in the quote form, which may include:

• Your name, email address and mobile number;
• The job — service type, property type and size, frequency, timing and extras;
• Your suburb and state (so we can match genuinely local cleaners); and
• Anything you write in the message field (access notes, special requests); and
• Basic technical information your browser sends — including your IP address and the date and time of submission — which we record with each form (quote requests and cleaner sign-ups) to help prevent spam and fraudulent or abusive use.

This website sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Requesting a quote needs no account; cleaners who create an account get a single functional cookie so they stay signed in.

3. How we use your request

• To match it with vetted cleaning businesses covering your area and service;
• To share it with those matched cleaners so they can quote (see section 4);
• To follow up on your experience and maintain network standards; and
• To keep a record of our correspondence.

4. When cleaners receive your details

To be precise about the core of the service:

• Your request is shared only with the cleaners matched to it — typically up to three — so they can contact you with a quote;
• They receive it for quoting that job only, and must handle it under their own privacy obligations;
• We do not sell your information to data brokers or marketing lists, and we don't blast your job to the whole network;
• Access details (keys, codes) should be arranged directly with the cleaner you book — please don't put them in the form.

5. How your request is processed

Your request is stored on our own server and database, used to match you with suitable local cleaners, and emailed to those matched cleaners so they can quote. If you accept a quote, the deposit is handled by our payment provider, Stripe — your card details go directly to Stripe and we never see or store them. Please don't include sensitive information (passwords, alarm codes) in the form.

6. Data retention & deletion

We keep request correspondence only as long as needed to provide the service and meet record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your request at any time and we'll also pass the deletion request to any cleaner we shared it with.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and you may complain to us — and, if unresolved, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including HTTPS across this site. No internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the latest version.
